Terms

About these terms

These terms cover your use of this website, operated by PixelRidge Web, a company registered in Nepal (registered address: Ward No. 4, Bansgadhi Municipality, Bardiya, Lumbini Province 21800, Nepal), and set out the basics that apply when you buy our services. You can reach us at info@pixelridgeweb.com.

Prices and quotes

Prices on this website are starting prices and may change. They are not an offer. Every project is agreed in a written quote and agreement that sets out the scope, price, timeline and ownership terms, and that written agreement is what applies.

Buying our services

We currently offer our services to clients in the United Kingdom, North America, South Asia and other countries outside the European Union. We are not taking on clients in the European Union at the moment. In India we currently work only with businesses, not with individuals buying for personal use.

Before paid work starts we send you a written quote and agreement. It sets out the work, the fixed price, the payment terms, the timeline and who owns what. If anything in it differs from this page, the written agreement applies, except that nothing in it takes away rights the law gives you.

Prices are shown in your local currency as a guide, based on where your connection comes from. The currency and price in your written quote are the ones that apply. Third-party costs, such as hosting, domains, paid tools and payment fees, are paid by you directly to those services. Where tax applies to our services, the quote says so.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel paid work at any time by email. You pay only for work already done and for third-party costs we already paid on your behalf at your request; we refund anything you paid in advance for work not yet done. If we cannot deliver what we agreed, you do not pay for that part. Fix jobs have their own payment rules in the Fix jobs section. App plans, where we build and run an app for a monthly fee, have their own rules in the App plans section below.

If you are a consumer in the UK (buying for yourself, not for a business), you also have the legal right to cancel within 14 days of agreeing the work, for any reason. If you ask us to start within those 14 days, you pay a fair amount for the work done up to when you cancel.

Our promises

Where a page offers a promise, such as "no findings, no fee" on our paid audit or a free re-clean after a hacked-site repair, it applies exactly as described on that page and in your written agreement, including its conditions. These promises are in addition to your legal rights, not instead of them.

Fix jobs (we check, fix and launch an app you already have)

What you buy. The three Fix jobs (Check; Fix and secure; Fix, secure and launch) are described, with their prices and delivery times, on the fix page. Before we start we confirm in writing which job you are buying, what we will look at and what you need to give us (read access to the code, database and hosting).

Payment. You pay half of the price before we start. You pay the rest only after you have tested the work and told us it does what we agreed, or 7 days after we deliver it if we hear nothing. Anything we find that is outside the job you bought is quoted separately in writing, and we do no extra paid work without your yes.

Delivery time. The delivery time starts when we have the access we asked for and the first payment. If we cannot deliver what we agreed, you do not pay for that part, as described under cancelling and refunds.

Your accounts. Code, database, domain and hosting stay in, or are moved into, accounts in your name. We keep no copy of your code after the job unless you ask us to look after the app on a monthly plan.

App and website development (we build something new for you)

What you buy. The app and website sizes are described, with their prices and delivery times, on the app development and website development pages. Prices are set for the country you are in. Before we start we confirm in writing what we will build, the price, the currency and the delivery date. Anything beyond the largest size is quoted in writing first.

Payment. You pay half of the price before we start. You pay the rest only after you have tested the work and told us it does what we agreed, or 7 days after we deliver it if we hear nothing. Anything you ask for that is not in the written scope is quoted separately, and we do no extra paid work without your yes.

Delivery time. The delivery time starts when we have your first payment and what we asked you for (text, logo, access). Small fixes to what we built, reported within 30 days of launch, are included.

Your accounts and ownership. Code, database, domain and hosting are set up in accounts in your name. Once you have paid in full, the code we wrote for you is yours. Third-party services (hosting, domain, payments) are billed to you by their providers.

Business automation (we set up a task to run by itself)

What you buy. Each automation is one task set up to run by itself, at the fixed price per automation shown on the business automation page for the country you are in. Before we start we confirm in writing what each automation does, how many automations the job counts as, the price, the currency and the date.

Payment. You pay half of the price before we start. You pay the rest only after you have tested the automation and told us it does what we agreed, or 7 days after we deliver it if we hear nothing. Small fixes to what we set up, reported within 30 days of it going live, are included.

Your accounts and running costs. Automations run on accounts in your name. Phone numbers, calls, messages and other paid tools are billed to you by their providers, and you can change, pause or remove the automation at any time.

Calls and messages to other people. If an automation calls or messages your customers or anyone else, you are responsible for having their agreement to be contacted and for following the calling, messaging and privacy rules where you and they are. We set up a way for people to opt out, and we do not set up automations that contact people who have not agreed to it.

App plans (we build and look after your app)

Who you contract with. App plans are provided by PixelRidge Web, a company registered in Nepal, to customers in Nepal and India.

What we agree. Before we start, we have one call with you and write down every feature of your app. That written feature list is what we build and maintain. If you bring an app you already have, we write down what we take over in the same way. Small changes are included as described on the plans page; bigger new features are quoted in writing before any work (the Premium plan includes one new feature a month).

Term. Each plan covers one app and runs month to month. A second app needs a second plan.

Payment. You pay your first 3 months before we start building. After that you pay every month, in advance. Prices are shown on the plans page in Nepali rupees for Nepal and Indian rupees for India.

What is included. Building the app, hosting, support, security updates, backups, bug fixes for the agreed features, and small changes, as described for your plan on the plans page.

Late payment. If a payment is 7 days late, we may pause your app. If it is 30 days late, we may end the contract.

Pause. You can pause your plan for 1 or 2 months at the pause price. Your app is offline but kept. If you do not restart after 2 months, we delete the app.

Ending early. You can stop at any time by email. Monthly payments for months that have already started are not refunded; if you stop before we start building, we refund the months not yet started. Within 7 days of ending, we send you an export of your app’s user data on request. The app is then taken offline and deleted after 30 days. We will never launch your app idea ourselves or give it to anyone else. This does not take away your legal rights, including the UK consumer right to cancel within 14 days described above.

Ownership and moving away. During the plan, the app’s code belongs to PixelRidge Web and is licensed to you for as long as you are on the plan. Your app’s name, content and your users’ data are yours. If you want to move your app to another provider, we hand over the code, database and domain for a one-time migration fee, quoted in writing at that time.

Your data and your users’ data. Your app’s user data belongs to you. We only host and process it to run your app.

Apps we do not build. Gambling, adult content, loans or investment schemes, hacking or spyware, copies of someone else’s brand, or anything illegal in your country or Nepal. We can take an app offline if it breaks these rules or app store rules.

No earnings promise. We help you launch your idea. We do not promise how many users or how much money your app will get.

Responsibility

We do our work with reasonable care and skill. No security work can promise that a site or app will never be attacked again. Our total responsibility to a business client for any job is limited to the amount paid for that job, and we are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility where the law does not allow it, such as for fraud or for your rights as a consumer.

Content

The content and branding on this website belong to PixelRidge Web. Product names shown on the Work page are PixelRidge products or are shown with permission.

Free tools

Our free tools — the Launch Check, the Security Headers grader, the Launch Readiness checklist and the Website Compliance & Legal-Risk checker — give automated, general information only. They are not legal, security or other professional advice, and they come with no warranty of accuracy or completeness. Their results reflect only what is publicly visible at the time of the check, and they cannot see private data, contracts or how a site behaves for a logged-in user. You are responsible for any decision you make based on them; PixelRidge Web is not liable for those decisions. For anything important, confirm it with a suitably qualified professional.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts. Please contact us first; most problems can be fixed quickly.
